Our Does:
At Irish Rock Alpines, our does are the foundation of our breeding program. We prioritize females that demonstrate strong breed character, dairy strength, and structural correctness, with the capacity for long-term productivity and longevity.
Our does are selected for correct mammary systems, sound feet and legs, and the balance and openness expected of the Alpine breed. Just as important, they are productive, efficient animals with steady temperaments that make them well-suited for the show ring, youth projects, and working dairy herds.
We focus on thoughtful, genetics-driven breeding decisions, emphasizing lines that consistently produce quality daughters generation after generation. Each doe in our herd plays a deliberate role in the future of Irish Rock Alpines, contributing not only individual excellence but also lasting genetic value.

Panther is our herd matriarch and at the age of 11 is now living the life that a retired Queen should have. Panther embodies everything that we admire in the alpines. When others see Panther, they often describe her as elegant and classy. She is long with a beautiful top line. She excels in general appearance with strong legs and feet. Panther has always been a hardworker and has proven to be a high production doe with a beautiful and very strong attached udder. She is the maternal BIG sister to Tempo Farm's infamous "Brown Triplets". Panther started her life as a 4-H/FFA project for our kids. Panther went undefeated in 4-H/FFA until her final year where she was beat by her daughter, Irish Rock Maria Spelterini. Panther did get shown in one ADGA show as a very young, Junior Doe and won BOB. After our kids aged out of 4-H/FFA, we decided that it was time to make things right with Panther after she spent years being a teacher to kids; it was time to let her shine! At the age of 8, Panther made her true debut in the ADGA show ring with the amazing help of Dr. Lauren Acton. In '23 she went to one show and earned a restricted leg in a two ring show with 2 Reserve Best of Breed wins. But, in '24 at the age of 9, Panther showed everyone that like a fine wine, she only got better with age. Panther earned her permanent champion title with 3 BOB and 1 Reserve BOB. She was officially retired from the show ring after earning her CH, until she was taken to the Oregon State Fair in '25. She was only there to help sanction, she was drying off and allowed to keep her glorious lady beard little did we know that Panther had other plans. Panther was brought in for Champion Challenge and beat her daughter, Irish Rock Maria Spelterini, earning one last Champion Rosette, lady beard and all. I think she was still irritated about losing to Maria her last year showing in FFA and wasn't about to let that go.

Smoke is a long, beautiful girl with good general appearance and an insanely capacious udder. Her calm and gentle demeanor make her one our favorites to work with. Smoke is our "go to" for production, she averages 16 pounds and has earned her milk star. Her daughters have shown that same tenacity with beautiful and correct mammary systems. She was shown heavily in 4-H/FFA but not very much in ADGA shows. Sadly, we lost Smoke this past summer.

We knew that a cross between the infamous Handyman and Panther would produce something amazing and we were not disappointed. Maria is a fancy and elegant looking doe. She has a beautiful and level top line, excellent general appearance, dairy strength and angularity. She has a beautiful mammary system that just gets better each time she freshens, with excellent attachment and a high and wide rear. She's not just a pretty face either, she's proven to be a highly productive doe. She has done well in the show ring and we can't wait to see what she does this coming show season.

Tiger is a giant of a doe and was referred to as a "sheltand pony" by Judge Cameron Jodlowski as he named Jr. BOB. She is tall, powerful and structurally correct with wonderful dairy strength. She is long and level with an impressively wide rump. We like to think that she's fancy. Because she was an April kid, we opted to leave her as a dry yearling and first freshened as a 2 year old. We're glad we decided to give her a little more time to grow. She freshened with a beautiful udder with a long, smooth foreudder, high and shapely rear and correct teat placement. She has done well in both the show ring and also on the production line.

We are excited to have Cricket in our herd. We have always loved Livingston daughters and coupled with the proven genetics of her dam, Cricket was a no-brainer for us. She is such a cool girl! Even at such a young age, she's already showing wonderful and correct general appearance, dairy strength and angularity. She has big feet and strong legs. We're pretty sure that she's going to be an absolutely big and beautiful girl when she's done growing.

Sekhmet was a giant, single kid and the very last kid out of Panther. When we bred Panther for the last time we wanted to make sure it would be a GOOD one. We love Sekhmet's full BIG sister, Tiger so much that we decided to make another one. I think Sekhmet might be even better than her sister. She might be just a kid, but boy is she stunning! She's solid black and already a fancy kid. She went to one show this year and easily won her class with some pretty tough competition.
